The shims on our Element3 EHT brake pads use a noise-damping system to promote quiet stopping in a wide variety of temperature ranges and vehicle platforms. Ultra premium Element3 EHT shims are made up of five layers:

Premium stainless steel brake hardware is included with your Element3 EHT friction, where applicable. Depending on what the application calls for, the following hardware may be included in your Element3 EHT box:

According to the Copper-Free Brakes Initiative, by 2021, all brake pads must limit copper found in friction materials to no more than 5 percent of a pad’s weight. All Element3 EHT brake pads currently meet the 2021 standards.
